Board of Revision

If you are not satisfied with the explanation from the Assessment Branch, there is an annual Board of Revision process where you have an opportunity to file a formal appeal. Your written appeal must be filed with:

The Town of Melita Board of Revision date to hear appeals is held on an annual basis, normally in September. The date is set by the assessment branch and will be advertised on our website and on our Facebook Page well in advance of the Board of Revision date.  

An application for revision must:

  • be made in writing
  • state the roll number and legal description of the assessable property 
  • state the grounds on which the application is based
  • be delivered it to the Town office before the deadline

If you wish to file an appeal please download and complete this Application to Appeal form and return to the Municipal Office prior to the advertised deadline.

There is no fee to file an appeal through the annual Board of Revision.


BOARD OF REVISION

The Board of Revision for the 2027 Property Assessment appeals will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2026 @ 5:00 pm in the Council Chambers.

The deadline to file an appeal for the 2027 Assessment Roll is Tuesday, September 8th, 2026 by 4:30 pm.
