Chamber of Commerce

Melita and District Chamber of Commerce was incorporated in 1902 as Melita Board of Trade.  In 1945 it was changed to Melita and District Chamber of Commerce to enable individuals as well as businesses to be members.  The Chamber is a non-profit membership-driven organization established to promote Melita and the surrounding districts.  We receive funding annually from the Town of Melita to assist with various promotions.

The 2012 membership includes 45 members/businesses.  2012 Chamber executive consists of president Bill Warren, vice-president VACANT, secretary-treasurer , directors: Jean Loucks, Bob Brown, Donna Brown, Brenda Dell.

Our meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6pm location TBA.

"I Shop Melita"

(July 3rd, 2012 - Feb.25th, 2013)

Excess Moisture Economic Stimulus program aimed at promoting and strenthening local shopping

•  Promotional bags and decals wil be distributed by participating Chamber of Commerce Members
• Use your "I Shop Melita" shopping bag throughout the campaign and post your "I Shop Melita" decal in a visible location on your vehicle window
• During the campaign dates you will have the opportunity to win instant prizes and be entered into the grand prize draw if you are seen with your bag or decal in the "hot spot shopping location" of the day
• All participants who win an instant prize will have an opportunity to be entered in the grand prize draw. Grand prize draws will be held on Aug. 11, Oct. 3, Nov. 30, Jan. 4, and Feb.25
